The project encompassed the renovation and expansion of a gymnasium and mezzanine as well as a re-build of classrooms, conference rooms and offices. Site work was completed for a new canopy area and outdoor court. This occupied site required close coordination with the owner in order to not affect ongoing activities. The total building area renovated is 40,000 SF, completed in four distinct phases.
Bandes entirely revamped this 53-acre site through extensive clearing and grubbing, significant quantities of fill and sod, and construction of park amenities: pavilions, a large gazebo, restroom buildings, new main entrance with a monument sign, offsite road improvements, pedestrian walkways, paved roads, a fenced dog park, exercise stations, concrete pedestrian walkway with wood bridge over wetlands, volleyball court, playgrounds and parking lots. There were sidewalks, site lighting, driveways, storm water system improvements, landscaping, irrigation and other site work / infrastructure. Our scope of services at this park included permitting, value engineering, management of owner’s separate vendors and contractors, and other project supervision activities. The property is the location of the County’s Dale Mabry Advanced Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).
This was a complete 7,600 SF interior and exterior renovation of the existing Boys & Girls Club in Tampa. The focus of the project was to update the recreational space and exterior amenities space for this nonprofit. Renovations include new masonry walls, wood truss & asphalt-shingle roof retrofit, new MEPs, and finishes. The new glass walls installed allows for a more open concept, while keeping areas separated for both facility safety, and intended independent room use.
This project was a build-out to the vacant third floor auditorium in the State Attorney’s Office 13th Judicial Circuit, located in downtown Tampa. The Hillsborough Courthouse required careful coordination with SAO’s staff members to ensure normal operations were not impacted. Heightened security measures included background checks with all crews, badging, and security checkpoint screening prior to commencing daily work. The space will be used for staff training, and public announcements by the State Attorney’s Office.
This project was a design-build 15,000 SF building in northern Hillsborough County, located in the University Area Community Development Area. The facility was constructed next to an elementary school, and required close coordination with their campus. The building included a state-of-the-art media center and community gathering space, with a historical exhibit on women leaders in Tampa.
This beautiful 35,700 SF building is located next to the courthouse in the heart of Plant City. It’s a one-stop shop for government services, including homeless prevention/rental assistance, utility services and disaster preparedness.
Bandes’ Project Manager Jeremy Brown and superintendent Tony Pattakos were the primary team members associated with this project. Eddie Pabon and Ford Neriwether were our partners at HOK Architects.
Among the many dignitaries at the grand opening were Hillsborough County Commissioners Stacy White and Al Higginbotham, longtime supporters of eastern Hillsborough.
